One and two bedroomed thatch cottages fully equipped with indoor fireplaces and verandah braai areas. Kitchens are open plan with diningroom & lounge - microwaves, fridges, crockery and cutlery all provided. Bring own kitchen linen and towels. Glengarry is one of those rare, much sought after havens with crisp climates and brisk clean mountain air. The Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Park offers wonderful views and is accessible from Highmoor Reserve 11 kilometres away. A 9 hole golf course awaits the sportsmen -low handicap players find it particularly challenging. Four holes are par 4's and the remaining 5 are par 3's. The longest hole is 300 metres and the course is designed around trout dams and the Little Mooi River. Family members are able to watch through binoculars from the chalet verandahs! Our stocked dam - Plum Dam is open all year round. We stock this dam with rainbow trout from Bushmans River Trout farm regularly and many budding trout fisherman have caught their first trout here! The Little Mooi River provides wild brown trout in the summer months. All our fishing is 100% catch and release. Should you want trout to eat we sell frozen trout along with Trout flies at our office shop. Cyclists have an opportunity to cycle on quiet rural roads and hilly tracks. A botanists delight - grassy hills and veld hiding hundreds of wild flowers and birdlife that keeps birders twitching for hours. Glengarry has a conference centre - ideal for weddings which are fully catered for. We have colourful ever flowering English country gardens open to the public in Spring. Freshly baked rolls and breads are produced in our cottage bakery. All food served to our guests is prepared in our kitchens using best quality fresh meat and home grown veges & herbs. Cakes, muffins and puddings are our speciality. Our new Tea Garden, Maple Gardens - serves specialist Teas, espresso, latte, cappucino, home made cakes, preserves and light meals.  For larger meals you can give your orders in by 4pm and collect your meal at 6pm. Eat good real food in the comfort of your chalets or campsite.  Bushmans paintings at the Kamberg Nature Reserve nearby are popular with foreigners especially.
